Oh my God! My favorite Mustang of all time is going up for sale on the auction block. So what Mustang is it? It's the 2004 Mustang GT-R concept, everything about the Mustang I love! The split tail lights, the raised hood, the custom mesh grille, the wheels, the side pipe, etc... The muscle car was made perfect by Ford, it's one of those cars I lusted for all my life but will never get my hands on. On August 12th though, someone will be able to buy it. You better have deep pockets, the Mustang GT-R concept will not go for cheap, RM Auctions estimates the bid to go in the $250K-$350K range. All the proceeds from the sale will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and The Children's Center. According to RM the car runs and drives but is not DOT or EPA certified and therefore cannot be registered for use on public roads. That kind of sucks, this is one car that would be really cool to cruise in on the weekends. I wonder who the new owner will be? Jay Leno? Eric Bana? Whoever it is, I hope they take care of this special concept Mustang!
